John grew up in the Sleepy Hollow area of San Anselmo, and began his professional career delivering the Marin Independent Journal to his neighborhood, Woodside and Oaks Springs drives: one of the tallest hills in Marin.

John Skinner is a Real Estate Broker Associate, and NAR designated Senior Real Estate Specialist who works with the Marin County Senior Community to answer the most pressing question: “Should I age in place in my family home, or is it time to leave?”

John’s Experience as a Marin Native, a Real Estate Broker, a Senior Real Estate Specialist, and a Certified Notary Public Signing Agent have all contributed to his success as a Marin Real Estate professional. With an dedication to doing everything in his power to achieve success for his clients, John’s reputation for high ethics, and excellent communication has led him to receive awards from the Marin Independent Journal’s “Reader’s Choice Awards” for the last 3 years.

Running is a passion of John’s: An athlete by nature, John can be found at absurd times of the morning, in all weathers, running the hills of Fairfax, in training for the San Francisco Marathon. Summer belongs to long runs in the Marin Headlands or down the Ross Valley to the Bay. One of John’s goals is to run an “Iron Man” Triathlon for his 60^th Birthday.
